Settings

Settings can be accessed from the bottom of the Side Menu.

General

Interface

Option	Details
Workspace Color	Choose your Space background color. Options: System Preference, Light, Dark, or Custom Colors (Supporter tier only).
Menu Position	Set the Side Menu to appear on the left or right side of the screen.

Defaults

Configure default behavior for newly created items using the following on/off toggles:

Spaces

Toggle	Description
Semi Transparent Items	Items on the Space appear semi-transparent when not in focus.
Spaces are Created with a Blank Page	A blank page is automatically added whenever a new Space is created.
Items Snap to Grid	Items align to an invisible grid when moved, for tidier layouts.

Wormholes

Toggle	Description
Wormhole Lines are Hidden	Hides the connecting lines between linked Wormholes by default.

Stacks

Toggle	Description
Switch Pages with Tap Gesture	Enables tapping the left and right sides of a Stack page to navigate between pages.

Pencil

Option	Details
Drawing Input Type	Toggle Use Apple Pencil on to draw with Apple Pencil (default). Turn off to use finger drawing instead.
Double Tap Interaction	Set the action for a double tap on the side of supported Apple Pencil models. Options: Disabled, Eraser (switches to the Eraser tool), Selection Tool (switches to the Selection tool).
Squeeze Interaction	Set the action for the squeeze gesture on supported Apple Pencil models. Choose from: Disabled, Eraser, Select, or Open Menu. An additional toggle controls how the action fires (turn it on to activate the action continuously while squeezing and revert when released, or turn it off to fire the action once as a single event at the moment the squeeze is completed).

Gestures

Option	Details
Palm Recognition	Configure palm rejection settings for a more natural writing experience.

Backup (manual and auto backup was available in ver 1. As of ver 2.0, this has been replaced by iCloud Sync. See iCloud Sync).

Set your preferred language for the app interface.

Option	Details
Help & Community	Links to support resources and the Discord community.
Privacy Policy	View the app's privacy policy.
Terms of Use	View the app's terms of use.
Onboarding Tutorial	Replay the onboarding tutorial at any time.

Option	Details
Version	Displays the current app version.
Your Plan	View your current subscription tier.
Want to Support the Devs	Available on certain tiers (contribute to the development of Defter Notes).
Restore Purchases	Restore any previous in-app purchases.
Switch Back to Ver 1	Available for legacy users only (revert to the previous version of the app).
